The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Library was established in 1973, the first year students were admitted to the new university. As of 2009, the Library has three locations: the John Peace Library on UTSA's Main Campus, the Downtown Library at UTSA's Downtown Campus, and the Archives unit of the Archives and Special Collections department at the HemisFair Park Campus. The Collection Development Department is responsible for building and preserving the UTSA Library's collections through the selection and management of library materials, as well as promoting their utilization through outreach activities. The collection spans the years 1986 through 2002 and includes meeting agendas and minutes, as well as related memoranda. Library groups and divisions documented in the collection include the Collection Development Department, Department Heads Meeting, Librarians' Meetings, Library Management Group, and various subcommittees.
